Ok last one, I promise!

Just a quick little reflection on the Royal Wedding last night -

The Dress - PERFECTION
The Abbey - Spectacular - those trees!
Prince William - Very cute
Prince Harry - even cuter
The pomp and ceremony - Loved it

My friends and I had a very fun night watching along, drinking champagne and eating some Will's and Kate cupcakes I made just for the occasion - check em'

And pictured here with the special edition Cath Kidson commemorative tea towel sent over to me by my delightful friend Miss R in London...

All in all, the Royal Wedding was a good excuse for some girly fun. Enjoy the weekend :)

The big day has arrived...

...and I'll admit it, I'm pumped for the working day to be over with so I can get to my Royal Wedding gathering with the girls. Will we like her dress? Will Wills follow in the footsteps of gorgeous Frederick and shed a tear when he claps eyes on his bride? Will Chelsea be on Harry's arm? Who will be spotted in the crowd? Too many questions! All to be answered very soon though.

In case you're curious, this is the route the royal procession will take...

Hope you all have your royal plans for this evening in order :) There will need to be a cup of tea of two involved (perhaps to wash down the celebratory champagne!)...

Enjoy the wedding of the year and weekend!

Fit for a princess...

I find myself wondering whether Princess in waiting Kate Middleton is having an assortment of bridal showers and high teas this week?? I'd like to think so however her super slim shape of late makes me think perhaps not :( If I were styling her bridal shower it would look something a bit like this...modern vintage with some fine china thrown in for regal effect

I'd make her eat a piece of cake too!

Got your royal memorabilia yet?!

Ok so I was going to try not to bombard you with Royal Wedding posts this week but there are just too many important aspects to discuss! Like the vast array of memorabilia on offer. My great friend Miss R, who is currently living in Londontown, was onto this weeks ago. She sent me an email with a ton of links to all the best UK sites telling me to get my order to her pronto. There was so much on offer that souvenir selection was actually stressful! I'll be sure to post some pics of my goods when they arrive :) Here's a look at the delights to be had for the hardcore who can't let this grand occasion pass without a little memento...

Because let's face it, who doesn't need a commemorative biscuit tin to store their elaborate Royal Wedding bikkies?!

Kate Spade on wheels...

The latest cool offering from Kate Spade is not her usual fare but so very Kate Spade at the same time! This kelly green vintage looking bike is pretty cute. The ad campaign for it is pretty special too featuring very stylish eco friendly fashion blogger Greta Guide getting around NYC. You can find the clip on Youtube here. She looks every bit as pretty as her Kate Spade wheels!

I'm fairly confident I'd stack and look a complete try hard if I attempted anything of the sort, especially in those killer wedges!

Exciting times....

Royal wedding week is finally upon us, and though I have had some laugh at my enthusiasm for the big day, it has done little to curb my high spirits! Luckily my friends are equally excited and are counting down until our Friday night Royal Wedding Party. It's really quite convenient that the time difference means that we in Oz are watching live on a Friday night. What better time for a get together :)
Here are some snaps of a lovely British homestead to set the scene for the big week ahead...

More Royal Wedding themed fever to come throughout the week...

Great Easter table styling for a Good Friday

Just one more sprinkle of Easter cheer before the weekend kicks into full swing. This table styling is a bit Easter, a bit vintage garden party - the perfect mix!

Hope the Easter bunny stops by your place. Enjoy the long weekend :)

Kitchen perfection...and a turquoise light

Now I always say my dream kitchen would be clean, crisp white...however this turquoise gem designed by Thomas Britt throws a spanner in the works. LOVE IT. The perfect shade of turquoise, the great cabinetry, the dark floors, the bamboo chairs, even the big indoor plant works... and those windows! They are perfection...and particularly as they are looking over Greenwich Village - my favourite NYC spot.

And I've added this snap of the light fitting simply because it's pretty, it matches and I've been looking for a post to add it to!

One more day until the extra long weekend! Hoorah!

Getting ready for Easter with Gwyneth

Not only is Gwyneth Paltrow completely stunning but it seems she can set a pretty mean table too :) This easter themed tabletop she designed in conjunction with Remodelista is simple yet timeless and beautiful. Such a vintage vibe with the hydrangeas and eclectic mix of glassware and silver. Perfect teamed with the raw wooden table, the neutral palette and the pops of duck egg blue and purple...

There will be another totally different but equally gorgeous Easter tabletop coming your way later in the week so stay tuned!

Killer colours...

Check out these gorgeous looks from the very talented Rachel Roy. She has such great style and I'm loving these colours - aqua, beetroot, cobalt and well... 'bandaid'. Yes, the top in that first pic is the 'Bandaid silk twill twist sleeve blouse'. It is indeed exactly the colour of a bandaid! A bit kooky but beautiful all the same :) I'm seeing lots of this skirt length around, very feminine, classic and flattering as it really draws the waist in...

The metallic mesh crewneck sweater in this last shot would really add a bit of sparkle to a winter wardrobe...

Weekend snaps

Gorgeous sunny weekend in Melbourne town! My Saturday morning was spent making these cute rose and lemon cupcakes for a lovely friend who was taking them to a bridal shower. And Sunday I took some extras along to my Mum's birthday lunch with the family - the newest member of which is growing in leaps and bounds. Check her out below. Only a few months old and already HUGE. I'm 6ft tall and she has twice knocked my legs out from under me! Completely cute though don't you think?!

Enjoy your week!
