Wednesday's white rooms...

There's a bit of lovely greenery in all of this week's white rooms. Such a fresh look against a crisp white backdrop. First up, one of the coolest white rooms I think I've featured, Aerin Lauder's kitchen featured on Vogue Daily. Is this shot not the pinnacle of how a cosy traditional Christmas lounge room should look?! Sadly we'd swelter here if we put a fire on at Christmas time!

And finally this simple yet elegant bathroom. Those tessellated tiles are perfect :)

Something in the water...

With no less that 8 (amazing right?!) lovely friends expecting babies in the first half of 2012, I thought it was about time I posted some pics of some very cute and stylish nurseries. To me, the great thing about kids rooms is that they are a licence to use colour!

Rita Konig goodness....

So I know we've probably all seen these pics many times before but I think ex-Domino staffer, Rita Konig's, eclectic apartment is so good it deserves another airing! She is an expert at mixing colours and patterns, vintage with new, and her arrangements of books and frames are spot on. Love everything about her lovely living room!

This week's love...

One of my favourite things to do every year is decorate my Christmas tree. I alternate between a classic white, silver and glass theme to mixing it up up with some pinks or aquas. Not sure about this year yet...one more week to think about it! Inspired by all these bright and cheerful, not so traditional looks...

Perhaps a touch of neon for the mantle...

Breezy summer tablescapes...

So it's fast approaching my favourite time of year - the Christmas holidays! It's not just the Christmas part, it's all that goes with it - hot summer weather, bbq's with family and friends, bright, relaxed fashion and time off work! But it also makes me think about the perfect Christmas table. I don't usually go with traditional Christmas colours so these are inspiring me at the moment...

This one is all about the ribbon. Looks fabulous but I imagine it would take some time with that frustrating double sided tape!

The trees are the star here. I love the way they provide an enclosed feel and are perfect with the tea light candles hanging from them...

And how romantic is this one?! The elegant white flowers and linen contrasting with the dark chairs and of course - those lights! Like beautiful Christmas baubles hanging from the tree...

The perfect home office...

I often daydream about what it would be like to work on creative pursuits from my own home office surrounded by pretty things in neat and organised bliss! Whilst those wooden stools don't look too ergonomically sound, any of these would be just the right answer...

Pretty peonies...

Finally, my patience was rewarded over the weekend! Every year I wait for the very short lived peony season. The last couple of times I've been at the market there have been some very sorry looking peonies but nothing to get excited about. And then this weekend, these little lovelies below! Happy, happy days :)

Weekend inspiration...

Have a great weekend all! I'm about to head out into the pouring rain for some early market action. Busy weekend planned with lots of catch ups including an introduction to our friend's new french bulldog puppy, who I'm sure is going to be every bit as cute as this little fellow below...

And I might also have to call in and visit the lovely Chloe since she turned a very big 1 this week! She'll be loving the rain we're having here at the moment. She loves nothing more than rolling around in the water and making a huge (literally!) mess!

This week's love...

This week I'm loving gorgeous brightly coloured bangles, particularly the enamel ones. The perfect summer accessory! And the more, the merrier :)

And this is the beginning of what will be clanking from my arm this summer...

The turquoise and lilac ones I got at Husk and were a steal at under $20. They come in a ton of colours and with either gold or silver edges.
