Whilst pottering around Pinterest as one does, I stumbled across the beautiful work of US mother-daughter design duo Caldwell Flake. Their work is polished perfection with not a detail out of place.

Pink gold fabulous zebra chair - yes please!

I'd probably give up my lovely new subway tiles for these pressed metal ones. I love the impact they make...

This citrus wallpaper is so bright and breezy...

Whilst I know bright neons aren't for everyone, I love them - particularly when mixed with great neutral tones....

Australia Day!

Wednesday's white rooms...

This week's white rooms all have a couple of things in common - touches of black providing depth and contrast, and fabulous framed photography...

First up, this black, white and gold vignette has the perfect proportions...and the perfect lucite stool!

Who'd have thought that adding so many frames to a teeny tiny kitchen would work?!...yet I think it does...

Weekend inspiration...

Happy weekend all! For what feels like the millionth weekend in a row, we will spend ours finishing off the painting - well hopefully anyway :) I hope whatever you have planned is far more exciting!

This week's love...

We're currently revamping our kitchen (the subway tiles are in! Hoorah!) and have decided we need a new fridge that fits the gap better. The current one is so squashed in that it looks like it will burst out at any moment. I'm really taken by these retro style fridges - especially the smeg ones which I think are the only ones really available in Oz...

Cool aren't they?! Sadly the double decker one is too tall for our kitchen...mind you this is a good thing for the bank balance :) She's not cheap friends!

In other loves this week, the new Temple & Webster website is very cool. A similar set up as One King's Lane but for downunder :)

And another great find is new website 'In a Designer House'. If you're on the look out for gorgeous and unique pieces - definitely worth a look. They feature some great brands like Dinosaur Designs and Robert Plumb.

Oh and lastly, don't forget to check out the new Rue Mag - full of gorgeous things, including the very stylish Chicago home of Danielle Moss, the talented lady who designed my new blog :)

Sparkling perfection

The sparkly gold clutch seems to be a hot accessory right at the moment and these fabulous shots show just why! They work so well with all the colour blocking we're seeing and I'm particularly loving how well they work with a touch of navy. Need to get me one! And that divine mint and navy cardi in the first shot would fit so nicely in my wardrobe too...

Wednesday's white rooms...

Lots of pretty features to be found in this week's white rooms...

First up, loving the contrasts of black and white and round and square in this lovely living room...

Next, the lights in this kitchen provide such a great focal point and the cabinetry and super high subway tiles are superb!

And this bathroom - love the contrast of the grey subways with the crisp white. And of course a pink rose or two helps any room in my book :)

Loving all the bright accessories and pops of colour in this great space and the period details in the ceiling and doorway provide the most elegant backdrop...

A delicious spring for Mulberry...

How utterly fabulous is Mulberry's Spring 2012 campaign?! Giant lollies and ice cream cones all shot whimsically on England's Brighton Beach - love it...

Today is definitely a day for the beach here in Melbourne town - very warm indeed!

Magazine ingenious...

Back in the day when we were renting an apartment and trying to save up to buy our own place, I remember my then boyfriend - now husband, telling me that the money I had spent on my many piles of magazines would have been a deposit three times over. Hmm...quite possibly true. If only I'd been armed with this ingenious solution to demonstrate how truly useful my beloved magazines could be...

That coffee table is pretty grand too!
