Spring vignette

Whilst we're on the downward slope towards winter here, our friends in the northern hemisphere are enjoying the spring - my favourite season! I was looking through the Spring issue of TradHome and came across this lovely and bright vignette in a house designed by San Francisco designer, Grant Gibson. I had been thinking about lacquered grey for some new side tables in our bedroom. I think I'm sold...

Wednesday's white rooms...

So they are actually Thursday's white rooms this week. We spent Anzac Day yesterday with some friends including one that had just the night before been made an Australian citizen. Very fitting we thought :) We watched the big game of football that is an Anzac Day tradition in Melbourne and all nearly cried when our team lost by a point! The devastation led to anzac biscuit over indulgence and this morning I am straight to the gym in an attempt to rectify things!

So anyway, back to this week's white rooms. First up this gorgeous kitchen starring one most perfect window...

Some pretty vintage dining...

And some traditional living with fabulous wall panels and lighting. I really love the repeated use of pattern in the cabinet and the cushions too...

Sofa love...

There is much to love about this wonderful London home but I must say, I'm most taken by those fabulous sofas! They just look so plush and comfortable. Just perfect for a night in movie watching. I'd be claiming the pink one!

Loving the Penguin classic artwork too - (though I might choose a different title given it's hanging on the wall and all ;) I have a lovely friend who is collecting all the penguin classics and think this would be just her thing...

Amongst the greenery...

So many shades of green in these fresh spaces! It really brings a touch of the outdoors in and particularly when combined with some pretty flowers. Natural textures such as the rattan on the chairs in the first pic, and the wooden flooring in the second, give these spaces an organic quality. And just loving that botanical wallpaper!

A cool and clever friend of mine alerted me to the fabulous new campaign shots for the Prada Spring Collection. She thought it was just the type of thing for G&G and right she was! All those pastels and patterns - love it! The make up on the models is pretty amazing too...

Vintage wedding styling

There are many little details to love about this gorgeous vintage styled wedding I spotted over at Style Me Pretty. The aspect that grabs me most however is the divine flowers! As we head towards the cooler months here, my David Austin's have already been cut back and look very glum. This week's white rooms....

One very light and bright kitchen with all the trimmings - great cabinetry, subway tiles, shiny pendant lighting and some lovely pink and grey accents...

And this very cool workspace. The pictures used as wallpaper really bring the space to life and make it much more interesting...

A most perfect living room...

Well I hope everyone had a lovely Easter break. Mine was an extended break which was fabulous and much needed! We managed to get our renovations finished with some lovely new carpet finishing everything off. Now the fun part starts - redecorating! 

Now speaking of lovely - the living room of NY PR professional, Bettina Prentice, is one of the coolest I've seen in a long time. It reminds me a lot of my other favourite NY living room, that of Rita Konig which I blogged about here. Lots of quirky and eclectic objects and art work make it such an interesting and unique space. Just loving the cushions and that skull candle (have had my eye on one of these for awhile - must make the purchase!) and how about the Philippe Starck Guns floor lamp?!

Happy Easter all! I hope you have a wonderful, relaxing break. Mine will be spent cooking and eating and enjoying time with some much loved family and friends....well between having our new carpet laid and moving furniture! Have a good one and see you all next week :)

Gorgeous vintage Easter styling...

With the Easter break only a couple of days away it's the perfect time for some Easter styling inspiration! This vintage table scape has a lovely mix of many of my favourites - fresh flowers, vintage fabrics and ribbons (I never tire of gingham!), white milk glass, porcelain bunnies and pink lemonade. What a delight this would be to wake up to on Easter morn!
