This week's love...

So I can't say it's been the most exciting week. Work has been crazy busy, the weather has been miserable and I find it depressing when I go to work and it's dark and I get home and it's dark. But it's always sunny somewhere right?! So this week I have found some solace in the summer fashions of the northern hemisphere. These bright Tibi dresses have been the perfect escape from the winter blues...

Coloured dining chairs...

So bright and fun are these assorted dining chair gems yet I find myself asking - would I be bold enough? Would I get sick of very bright colours very quickly? Hmm, still not sure of the answer. The coloured chairs definitely add some cheer and a playful element to these great rooms.

Wednesday's white rooms

This week's white rooms all have hints of grey, blue and silver tones. And despite their coolness they really soften the white and give the rooms a cosy and inviting feel...

First up, this cottage looking kitchen with the great stools and cabinetry and what appear to be some very impressive windows in the distance...

A most perfect and bright study...

Now the wonderful neon pink desk is the standout feature for me in this gorgeous study but all the other elements are pretty fantastic too - the grey chair, the chevron pinboard, the polar bear! Love it all...

A new edition of Rue Magazine is always an exciting thing, however as a bit of a patriotic Melbournian I was very excited to see iconic St Kilda beach featured in a very cute and summery fashion shoot!  Lots of fun fashions and some definite aussie styling...

New York streetscapes and rooftops...

Dreary winter weather has me dreaming of possible escapes and holiday destinations. New York City has so many things to offer a wide-eyed traveller but I must say, one of the things I loved most about my trip a few years ago was looking at all the wonderful houses. I'm positive I could have wandered those streets for weeks on end! Now I have to get my fix from Foxtel's 'Selling New York'. Not quite the same but it's something. I really must get back there soon...

Wednesday's white rooms...

This week's white rooms come from this spacious and stunning New York loft apartment. It has just the right amount of colour splashed about against the white backdrop. My favourite elements are those colourful bunnies and of course, the pressed metal ceilings. I think they add so much texture and interest to this stylish space...

Dark & sophisticated...

This room sort of matches the cold and grey weather we're having here at the moment. And despite the fact that I'm hating the weather, I'm loving this room! I have many books in my house and I really like this idea of displaying them so you can see their pretty covers. And that plush velvet couch looks just the right place to curl up for a winter reading session by the fire...
